Map of the Humongous Fungus: The largest living organism on Earth

I’ve been thinking about this as well, but I landed on the idea that we intuitively associate more size with larger, not more weight because objects can be compact based on their atomic structure. Say there’s a 20 pound iron brick next to an 18 pound styrofoam box. We would say the styrofoam is larger because it is bigger, not the iron pot because it’s heavier. So yea, definitions can vary but in my mind the largest something covers more area, not weighs more.
